Privacy Policy
This policy explains what BetDNA collects, why we collect it, how your betting history is used to generate your personalised insights, and the control you have over all of it.

Draft document
This privacy policy is written in plain English so it can be read and understood now, ahead of professional review. Sections marked legal review required still contain placeholder wording. Sections marked legal review recommended before launch are drafted in full but should be confirmed by a qualified UK solicitor before BetDNA launches publicly.
Information We Collect
We collect only what is needed to run your account and build your behavioural profile.
- Account information — your email address, name if you provide one, and authentication details handled by our identity provider.
- Betting history — the bet slips you import, including bookmaker, sport, selection, odds, stake, returns and settlement dates.
- Uploaded images — bet slip screenshots submitted for extraction.
- Product usage — pages viewed, features used, and feedback you choose to submit.
- Billing information — subscription status and payment metadata. Card details are handled by our payment provider and never stored by BetDNA.
- Technical information — device type, browser, screen size and approximate region for security and diagnostics.
Placeholder wording — legal review required
Confirm the final data inventory, lawful bases and any additional categories with your legal advisor and reflect them here.
How We Use Your Data
- To create and secure your account.
- To extract structured bet records from the screenshots you upload.
- To calculate your performance metrics, Behavioural Markers and their confidence levels.
- To generate Behaviour Coach insights, goals and Monthly DNA Reports.
- To manage your subscription, trial and billing.
- To respond to support requests and improve the product using aggregated, de-identified analysis.
We do not use your betting history for advertising, and we do not sell personal data to anyone, ever.
Placeholder wording — legal review required
Replace this section with UK-specific wording reviewed by a qualified legal advisor before public launch.
How AI Uses Your Betting History
Your imported bets are analysed to produce behavioural metrics — staking consistency, emotional patterns, discipline, timing and performance. Those metrics, together with the behaviour events recorded on your account, are used to generate written insights and supporting evidence.
- Analysis is performed for your account only and produces insights about your own behaviour.
- Insights are always accompanied by the evidence and confidence level behind them.
- BetDNA never predicts sporting outcomes and never recommends a bet.
- You can read the full explanation on the AI & Data Transparency page.
Placeholder wording — legal review required
Confirm the final wording covering automated processing and any model-provider disclosures required before launch.
Data Storage
Your data is stored in managed, access-controlled cloud infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted to the systems that serve your account and to a small number of authorised personnel for support and security purposes.
Data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and betting history are removed, other than records we are legally required to keep.
Placeholder wording — legal review required
Insert confirmed hosting regions, retention periods and international transfer safeguards.
Marketing Preferences
We send service messages related to your account, trial and subscription. Product updates and other marketing are optional, and you can opt out at any time from Settings or from the link in any email.

Third-Party Services
We use a small set of trusted providers to operate BetDNA — cloud hosting and database services, authentication, AI processing for bet slip extraction and insight generation, payment processing, and email delivery. Each provider receives only the data needed to perform its function.
