Terms & Conditions

These terms set out the agreement between you and BetDNA when you create an account and use the platform. We have written them in plain English, because terms you cannot read are not terms you can agree to.

The short version: BetDNA analyses the betting history you choose to import so you can understand your own behaviour. It is not a betting service, and it never tells you what to bet on.

Last updated 1 August 2026

Draft document

This set of terms is written in plain English so it can be read and understood now, ahead of professional review. Sections marked legal review required still contain placeholder wording. Sections marked legal review recommended before launch are drafted in full but should be confirmed by a qualified UK solicitor before BetDNA launches publicly.

01

Nature of the Service

BetDNA is a behavioural analytics platform. You import your own bet slips, and BetDNA turns them into statistics, patterns and written insight about how you bet.

BetDNA provides:

  • Behavioural analysis of the betting history you import.
  • Personal insights describing patterns in your own past behaviour.
  • Educational information about discipline, staking and consistency.

BetDNA does not provide:

  • Gambling advice of any kind.
  • Betting tips, recommendations, selections or predictions.
  • Financial advice or investment advice.
  • Guaranteed outcomes, guaranteed profits or profit predictions.
  • Any facility to place, accept or settle a bet.

Nothing shown anywhere in the product — including insights, scores, goals, reports and coaching language — is a recommendation to place a bet, or advice of any regulated kind. The full explanation of how the analysis works is on the AI & Data Transparency page, and that page and these terms are intended to say exactly the same thing.

Legal review recommended before launch

This clause defines the scope of the service and supports the liability position below. A qualified UK solicitor should confirm it sits correctly alongside gambling and financial promotion rules before public launch.

02

Accounts and Eligibility

  • You must be 18 or over and legally permitted to bet in your jurisdiction to hold an account.
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
  • Accounts are for personal, individual use and must not be shared or resold.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

03

Subscriptions

BetDNA Premium is an annual subscription of £14.99 per year. It renews automatically each year until cancelled. Prices include applicable UK VAT unless stated otherwise.

04

Free Trial

New accounts receive a 7-day free trial. No payment details are collected to start the trial. You will be reminded before it ends, at which point you may choose to subscribe to BetDNA Premium. If you do not subscribe, the trial simply ends and no payment is taken.

Placeholder wording — legal review required

Confirm trial eligibility rules, reminder timing and consumer-law notice requirements.

05

Payments

Payments are processed by our payment provider. BetDNA does not store your card details. If a payment fails we may retry it and may suspend access until it succeeds.

06

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from Manage Subscription. Cancellation stops future renewals and you keep access until the end of the paid period. Full detail is in the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

07

AI Limitations

BetDNA uses AI in two places: reading the bet slips you upload, and turning your history into written insight. Both are designed to help you understand your own behaviour — and both can be wrong.

  • AI-generated insights are intended to assist your understanding, not to make decisions for you.
  • AI can occasionally misread a screenshot, misclassify a bet or describe a pattern imprecisely.
  • You should always apply your own judgement to anything BetDNA tells you.
  • AI insights are not professional advice of any kind, and should not be relied upon as such.
  • Every field extracted from a screenshot carries a confidence score, and low-confidence fields are flagged for you to confirm.
  • You can edit any bet at any time, and corrections flow through to your metrics, profile and insights immediately.

If you believe an insight is wrong, you can open the evidence behind it, correct the underlying data, or contact us and we will investigate.

Legal review recommended before launch

A qualified UK solicitor should confirm this wording alongside the limitation of liability clause, particularly the description of automated processing.

08

Accuracy of Analysis

BetDNA can only analyse what it can see. The quality of your insights depends directly on the quality of what you import.

  • Analysis is based on the screenshots and records you upload, and on the information visible in them.
  • Blurred, cropped, partial or low-resolution screenshots produce less reliable extraction.
  • If your history is incomplete — for example, only winning bets, or only one bookmaker — the resulting insights will also be incomplete.
  • Behavioural patterns become meaningful with volume; a small number of bets produces a rough sketch, and the product says so.

We do not guarantee that extracted data is complete or free of error, and BetDNA is not a substitute for your own records or your bookmaker's statements.

Legal review recommended before launch

This clause is drafted to be fair and consumer-friendly under UK law. A qualified UK solicitor should confirm the final wording before public launch.

09

Your Data and Warranties

By uploading betting history to BetDNA, you confirm that:

  • The betting history and screenshots you upload are your own, or you otherwise have the legal right and authority to upload them.
  • Uploading them does not breach anyone else's rights, or any agreement you have with a bookmaker or third party.
  • The content you submit is lawful and relates to genuine betting activity.

You remain responsible for the content you submit. If you upload something you should not have, you can delete it at any time, and you can delete your account and its entire history from Settings.

Legal review recommended before launch

User warranties and any related indemnity must be drafted so they remain fair under UK consumer law — a qualified UK solicitor should review the final wording.

10

How We Process Your Data

The betting history you upload is processed for one purpose only: providing the BetDNA service to you.

  • Your betting history is never sold — to anyone, for any price.
  • Your betting history is never used for advertising, ad targeting or profiling for third parties.
  • Your betting history is never shared with bookmakers.
  • All personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
  • Product improvement uses aggregated, de-identified analysis — not your identifiable betting history.

You can export or permanently delete your data at any time. Your rights under UK GDPR, and how to exercise them, are set out in the Privacy Policy.

Legal review recommended before launch

Confirm this summary matches the final Privacy Policy, lawful bases and subprocessor list before launch.

11

Responsible Gambling

BetDNA exists to help you understand your betting behaviour. It does not exist to make you bet more.

  • BetDNA does not encourage gambling, and does not encourage higher stakes or higher spending.
  • BetDNA has no commercial relationship with any bookmaker and earns nothing from your betting activity.
  • Reduced activity, smaller stakes and longer breaks are treated by the product as improvements.
  • BetDNA encourages informed, responsible decision-making, and nothing more.
  • Support organisations and self-exclusion information are listed on the Responsible Gambling page.

Using BetDNA is not treatment, therapy or a substitute for professional support. If betting has stopped feeling like entertainment, please speak to one of the organisations listed on the Responsible Gambling page.

Legal review recommended before launch

A qualified UK solicitor, ideally with gambling-sector experience, should confirm this clause and the Responsible Gambling page before launch.

12

Acceptable Use

You agree to use BetDNA lawfully and not to interfere with the platform, other users or the accuracy of the data it holds. In particular, you must not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the source code, models or scoring methodology behind the platform.
  • Scrape, crawl, mirror or extract data from the platform by automated means.
  • Probe, scan or security-test the platform without our prior written permission.
  • Upload viruses, malware or any code intended to disrupt or gain unauthorised access.
  • Upload unlawful, harmful or infringing content, or content you have no right to submit.
  • Bypass, disable or interfere with subscription, trial, access or security controls.

The full rules, including how we enforce them, are in the Acceptable Use Policy, which forms part of these terms.

13

Intellectual Property

Ownership is split cleanly: we own the platform, and you own your data.

  • BetDNA owns the software, branding, design, models, scoring methodology and the way insight is generated and presented.
  • You retain ownership of the betting data and screenshots you upload.
  • You grant BetDNA only the licence necessary to securely store and process that data in order to provide the service to you — nothing broader.
  • That licence ends when you delete the data or your account, other than records we are legally required to keep.
  • Insights generated for you are yours to use personally; the underlying platform and methodology remain ours.

14

Third-Party Trade Marks and Independence

BetDNA is an independent behavioural analytics platform. We are not part of the gambling industry and we do not work with it.

  • BetDNA is not affiliated with, endorsed by, approved by or sponsored by any bookmaker or gambling operator.
  • Bookmaker names, logos and trade marks are the property of their respective owners.
  • Where we refer to a bookmaker by name, it is solely to describe compatibility with betting history that you choose to upload.
  • We receive no data from any bookmaker. Every bet in your account comes from history you uploaded yourself.
  • We have no commercial relationship, affiliate arrangement or revenue share with any bookmaker or gambling operator.

15

Availability

We aim for BetDNA to be reliable and available whenever you need it, but no online service is available every second of the year.

  • Temporary interruptions may occasionally occur, including issues caused by providers we depend on.
  • Planned maintenance and updates may briefly affect availability, and we will give notice where we reasonably can.
  • Features may be added, changed or withdrawn as the product evolves.
  • We will give reasonable notice of material changes that affect what you pay for.

BetDNA is provided without any guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation.

16

Beta Status

BetDNA is currently in beta. That means the platform is genuinely useful, actively developed, and not yet finished.

  • Features may change, sometimes at short notice, as we learn what works.
  • Improvements are made continuously rather than in large infrequent releases.
  • You may encounter bugs, rough edges or occasional inaccuracies.
  • Feedback is genuinely welcomed — it is the fastest way the platform improves, and you can send it from Help & Feedback anywhere in the app.

This clause applies only while BetDNA remains in beta and will be removed once beta ends.

Legal review recommended before launch

Confirm that beta status does not reduce any statutory consumer rights, given that BetDNA is a paid service during beta.

17

Limitation of Liability

This section explains what we are and are not responsible for. We have written it to be fair rather than defensive, and UK law sets limits on what any company can exclude — we stay well inside them.

What we never exclude

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. Your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law — including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — always apply and are not affected by these terms.

What we are responsible for

We are responsible for providing the service with reasonable care and skill, and for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.

What we are not responsible for

  • Betting losses, missed winnings or any other outcome of a bet — BetDNA never recommends bets and every betting decision remains yours alone.
  • Decisions you take based on insights, scores or reports, which describe past behaviour and are not advice.
  • Loss or damage that was not foreseeable at the time you agreed to these terms.
  • Loss arising from data you did not upload, or from history that was incomplete or inaccurate.
  • Business losses — BetDNA is supplied for personal, non-commercial use.

Financial cap

Where liability can lawfully be capped, our total liability to you for all claims connected with the service in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of the amount you paid BetDNA in that period, or £100. This cap never applies to the liabilities described under “What we never exclude” above.

Legal review recommended before launch

Liability caps and exclusions are the highest-risk clauses in any UK consumer contract and must be reviewed by a qualified UK solicitor before public launch, including whether the cap above satisfies the fairness test under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

18

Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, is used unlawfully, or presents a risk to the platform or other users. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put things right.

Replace this section with UK-specific wording reviewed by a qualified legal advisor before public launch.

19

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the product and the law evolve. If a change materially affects your rights or what you pay, we will tell you in advance and you will be free to cancel.

Placeholder wording — legal review required

Replace this section with UK-specific wording reviewed by a qualified legal advisor before public launch.

20

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you keep the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

Placeholder wording — legal review required

Confirm the governing law and jurisdiction clause with your legal advisor, along with the registered entity details.
